Fumizen is a tonkatsu restaurant that has been a favorite of guests from Japan and abroad, and has been a favorite of successive prime ministers and celebrities from all walks of life since the Hotel New Otani was established on the occasion of the Tokyo Olympics (1964).
While maintaining the traditional taste of tonkatsu that has been passed down since the restaurant's founding, we have also prepared unprecedented flavored sauces using "natural yeast vegetable bread" handmade in the restaurant with health and safety in mind.
We hope you will enjoy our cutlet sandwiches, which look as delicious as they taste.
Head down Kiyosumi Street, which runs through the center of Kachidoki, toward Toyomi Town, and just after entering an alleyway along the way, you will find "Katsu to Pan" quietly tucked away.
Katsu and Bread" is located in a quiet corner of the alley. The restaurant offers handmade, additive-free bread kneaded with fresh Japanese seasonal vegetables and cutlets and side dishes prepared by the masters of the Hotel New Otani who have accumulated decades of experience.
The "cutlet" and "bread," which were originally introduced from a distant foreign country and nurtured by sublimating Japan's unique culture, were combined with our sensitivity and feelings to create a colorful and luxurious "cutlet sandwich," which may be useful as a lucky charm to "win" as a souvenir.
We would like to pretend that it is a marriage of Japanese tradition and Western technology, but it is not such a big deal. It's a casual, free and easy way to enjoy a delicious pork cutlet or side dish with healthy bread. We want to provide you with delicious pork cutlets and side dishes, and healthy bread in a casual and free atmosphere.
We envision this store as both an orthodox deep-fried delicatessen and a quirky bakery, where people can drop by at their leisure and enjoy a table full of delicatessen items, and where families and those who receive cutlet sandwiches as gifts will all be brought a smile.
Whether it is early morning, lunch, or dinner.
Welcome to "Katsu to Pan," a place that has it all!
Good day, March 2023
